Corporate Members Benefits
The Society of Floristry was founded in 1951 with an aspiration to reach for the highest standards in professional floristry and an emphasis on achieving excellence. Moving into 2009, the Society continues to flourish and is acknowledged as the industries only trade association with responsibility for overseeing floristry standards, education and training.
In consultation with the retail sector, awarding bodies, and international trainers, the Society is currently taking a leading role in various exciting projects. These include the writing & launch of new floristry qualifications at level 4 & 5, and the development of a British Design Schema, both of which are sure to have a significant impact on the industry once launched later this year.
The Society functions under the direction of the President and Council, all members contribute in a voluntary capacity with a commitment to forwarding the floristry industry.
The Society offers various categories of membership, and currently has well over 1000 members nationwide, including business owners, florists, training providers, and students. In 2005 we created a new category of membership to enable all businesses associated with the floristry industry to apply for Corporate Membership. This category has proved very popular, with many of the industries key suppliers, wholesalers, and sundries companies coming on board.
Membership of the Society offers significant benefits to corporate members, As a voluntary association the Society relies totally on income generated from membership fees, bequests, and income generated from sales of its publications, seminars, events, and its annual trade show. Your support as a corporate member is not only highly valued, but also underpins essential work that the Society of Floristy is carrying out in setting and maintaining high standards of floristry throughout the UK.
Corporate membership is only £150.00 per annum and, if approved, will enhance your businesses industry profile. The full range of benefits that this offers your company is significant:
